Gypsum (also called Selenite) is a shimmery, transparent crystal.
The name selenite comes from the Greek word Selene, meaning moon (Selene, the Greek Goddess of the Moon).
Apart from being a beautiful mineral, Selenite wands are popular for many metaphysical & spiritual uses like energy & aura cleansing.
Interesting fact: The famous "Cave of Crystals" in the Naica Mine in Mexico are all masive formations of Selenite gypsum. Crystal care: Selenite is a very soft mineral (#2 in the Mohs Hardness Scale), it should be treated with care. It may dissolve in water so try not to clean it with water or place it near any liquids.
